When winter ends

This portrait, titled “When Winter Ends,” was created during a particularly difficult period. I won’t go into details, but like many personal pieces, it was less about technique and more about processing something quietly.

Sometimes painting is the only way to move forward, one mark at a time.

This one stayed with me, and looking back, it reminds me how art can hold space for moments we don’t always have words for.

Thanks for taking a moment to see it.

Welcome to the Blog

Hi, I’m Simon Loche, Concept Artist, Character Designer, Comic Book Artist, and Art Director. I work across digital and traditional media to create visuals and assets for the entertainment industry.

This blog is a place to share a mix of things: selected artworks, sketches, work-in-progress pieces, professional projects (where I can), and the occasional behind-the-scenes note or reflection. Some of my work is still under NDA, so what you’ll find here isn’t exhaustive, but it’s representative of the kind of work I enjoy and feel proud of.

To be honest, I find it much easier to talk about drawing than to talk about myself. So instead of trying to craft the perfect introduction, I’ll just invite you to explore the posts that follow. If something catches your eye or sparks a thought, feel free to leave a comment. I’d love to hear it.

Thanks for stopping by.
