This illustration was created for a library that wanted to promote my Robin Hood comic book series through a special Ex-Libris print. It’s always a pleasure to see books celebrated this way, especially when illustration becomes part of the experience of sharing stories.
The piece was done traditionally, on A4 paper, using a mix of Pantone markers, watercolors, gouache, and colored pencils. The layering of media allowed me to play with texture, depth, and warmth, something that feels fitting for the Robin Hood universe.
I always enjoy working on illustrations that connect directly to readers, and this one felt like a nice bridge between the comic pages and the world of libraries and collectors.
